The billboard message
The billboard message may be up to 140 characters long. The entire or part of the message is then hyperlinked (leaving it your choice) to a resource of the your choosing. It should be accurate, direct and in keeping with the candid, transparent fashion in which we run the site. The message should also clearly identify who the advertiser behind it is.
The sponsor URL
The URL will be directly linked to from the sponsor message and may be any address of the sponsor's choosing that is broadly accessible by the audience of this platform. Tracking addresses that are restricted by common ad blockers are not broadly accessible by the hacklido.com audience and cannot be used. Tracking inbound visitors on the sponsor's site is fine, as is including tracking parameters in the URL.
Advertiser promotion
The advertiser is thanked during the week of advertising via both our Twitter account (9k+ followers) and telegram account (6k+ subscribers). They're also mentioned in our weekly newsletter (5k+ subscribers) - which is also spread through different other community partners with aggregate of 60k+ subscribers.
Advertiser selection
Hacklido is a AdSense approved platform. So instead of going with AdSense which we had little control over, a advertiser appearing on this site is a direct relationship between them and ourself. Their message appears prominently alongside our platform's content and as a result, it's important that we are endorsed in what the advertiser does which may mean that some are not a good fit for the platform.
Pricing
Pricing is POA (price on asking) and changes over time. Advertising is offered in weekly or monthly blocks and is often booked out in advance.

Can I get access to data on impressions or click throughs?
We don't track either in part because they're spread across a variety of different mediums (blogs, social media, newsletter, channels and communities) and in part because focusing on these metrics is not what the advertising model is intended to be about. We do, however, encourage sponsors to track clicks on the destination resource via refers, UTM trackers, etc.
Can I advertise individual posts or target specific demographics?
No, Sponsorship covers every page on hacklido.com and is served to every visitor regardless of their demographic.
Can I add markup to the advertisement message?
Italics is fine, anything else is a discussion to be had around aesthetic continuity and not appearing spammy.
Can I use marquee or blink tags?
Nice try. No.
